Monitors for Education

The usual education paradigm has changed tremendously in the past two years. Digitalization is embraced more, and diverse needs continuously emerge. There are several solutions from Philips monitors that could support this development.

There are three different lines that can satisfy the needs from educational workers: touch solution for easy and natural productivity, green and eco solution for powering IT classrooms while reducing the costs for energy; and USB-C docking solutions for comprehensive and fast connectivity.

B1TC Line: Knowledge in your hands

Philips In-Cell Touch Monitors enhance a new educational experience for students and teachers alike. There’s no need to be particularly savvy on technology, as the B1TC models are made to be fast, comfortable, responsive, and easy to use. They feature SmoothTouch technology, meaning that the display uses Projected capacitive 10-point touch technology for fluid response, easily detecting 10 fingertips at once, making it great for taking notes in more diverse ways, or collaborating with classmates.

Ready to use and set-up, Philips B1TC monitors can be the next step in interactive and collaborative learning, while being a perfect tool to strengthen IT skills. Touch displays are fun, and they encourage curiosity by expanding the possibilities of diverse ways of learning. Students can be more engaged with teachers flow, and it improves students ‘attention span in class and accelerates learning and developments.

Available in 2 different models and sizes, 23,8″ 242B1TC and 21,5″ 222B1TC, this line will create the perfect engaging environment for any scholastic level.

P1 Line: USB-C powered IT classrooms

IT classes are especially crucial in the digital world we live in. Unfortunately, many are extremely outdated, keeping out on some innovative features that students and teachers could both learn and enjoy. One technology stands out as being a rising standard – USB-C connectivity. This new technology frontier ensures a simple plug & play experience: being the plug symmetrical, it eliminates any frustrations and fumbling of earlier USB ports – making it perfect for students of any age, and for the most diffident professors.

This innovation is not only undoubtedly comfortable and easy to use, but it allows the users to connect and power up the monitor to an external device at the same time: the display signal is transferred via USB-C (DisplayPort alternate mode), as well as high-speed data, while powering and charging your device simultaneously (USB Power Delivery). The best solution to ensure high connectivity and efficiency – Philips Monitors’ USB-C docking that combines USB-C, RJ45 and DP-out all together for added convenience. This replaces any external bulky docking standalone, reducing unwanted clutter on the desks for shared classrooms.

A Philips 279P1 would bring innovation to the classrooms, enabling a fast and comprehensive connection. It sports UHD resolution, USB-C cable for recharging, data and Ethernet, and certified eye comfort to reduce eye fatigue.

B1 Line: Technology as green as it can be

A lot of management of the school happens on a screen, whether it is sorting out budgets, writing up slides or reports, reviewing essays. It consumes a lot of energy, and we are here to provide a solution.

Philips monitors feature innovative, ecologically-friendly technologies such as LightSensor, Zero Power Switch and PowerSensor. LightSensor uses a smart sensor to automatically correct the brightness to allow for the perfect picture with minimal effort from the user; PowerSensor is a built-in ‘people sensor’ that helps saving up to 80% energy costs, while you can cut off the monitor from AC power with the flick of the Zero Power Switch. Energy efficiency, fully recyclable packaging, compliance with strict international environmental standards, and freedom from harmful substances such as mercury and PVC/BFR are key for the B1 Line green models.

Available in two sizes, the 242B1G and 272B1G will ensure brilliant performances, cutting on the bills.
