“In today’s technology driven world, touch screens are now so well appreciated that they can be applied in a very wide range of industries: wherever you look around nowadays, you can see touch technology-based devices in action (retail, transportation, hospitality, education, healthcare…). The global market for Touch Screen Displays is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 7.5% over the next 7 years, reaching US$100.2 Billion by 2027[1]” says César Acosta, Product Manager in Europe at MMD Monitors & Displays. “With a view to achieving a superior level of satisfaction of our customers, we are also making our touch monitors family wider for flawless and productive experiences”.
Resistant display to interact with comfort
The new monitors feature SmoothTouch, which means that the display uses Projected capacitive 10-point touch technology for fluid response. The glass overlay ensures scratch protection up to 7H. This is extremely important for certain industries as retail, supermarkets, logistics and HoReCa, where they need a reliable and resistance touch solution to run their applications. The display images are crystal clear with pure colour and great clarity owing to the anti-Glare Coating (abbreviated AG), that can reduce the glare of the touch monitor screen and therefore you don’t need an additional film for eyes comfort, fundamental in indoor or environments with lights targeting directly to the monitor. These Philips displays also meet the international IP65 (front only) rating for water and dust resistance. This ensure protection against water splashes and dust that can happen while in use.
Productivity features boosters
The two new monitors feature HDMI port which ensures universal digital connectivity, two USB 3.1 for high-speed data transfer and DisplayPort connection. For improving and assuring an even better user productivity, the touch monitors can be used with: your own finger, a passive Stylus made of conductive fabric or rubber, and certain gloves[2], making the experience as simple as possible. The 17” and 24” new touch monitors also offer both the Philips SmartStand with Z-type structure with smooth tilt, height adjustment and folding capabilities for various ergonomic positions and the VESA mount for the maximum flexibility.
Perfect Visuals
Getting the best digital image and an easy-on-the-eye productivity it’s essential for both work and entertainment in front of a monitor. Through the new Philips touch monitors you can have it all. Both models in fact offer SmartContrast, a proprietary technology that automatically adjusts colours and backlight intensity for rich black details and a great visual experience. Moreover, the Philips 242B9TL display features enhanced Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution for realistic colors. But visual quality has to come with the highest comfort for the eyes.
